It’s been a few weeks since we’ve gotten to sit down and update our blog. But… we think we have a pretty special excuse! We have been getting our new space ready for our grand opening this month! We have been painting, cleaning, moving… arranging… all while fixing computers (every once in a while, that is!)
Thank you, Farragut West Knoxville Chamber of Commerce for such a successful grand opening on Friday, February 1st.
As a company, we were completely overwhelmed at the turn out for our event last week. Here are the major highlights from the event (from start to finish):
One commonly asked question is if we installed the countertops ourselves. We are lucky enough to have gotten this space with the countertops already installed. Pretty cool, right? Our friends over at Allevia Technology (who used to have this space) happen to have VERY good taste in countertops!
Although our BIG sign wasn’t installed in time for this event, we were excited to have our name on the door.
We had some DELICIOUS food at the event. …
Seems like it was a hit! (There certainly weren’t any leftovers)
For our staff, this celebration was long overdue. Starting a business is hard work! It started in the Harbin’s guest room… then expanded to their dining room and living room… Although working from the guest room wasn’t exactly the slums.. having an office space is definitely a step up in the world. It was so exciting to share our new space with all our friends!
We are writing this blog to take a moment to pause and thank everyone who helped come celebrate with us. We know that in today’s world, time is the most precious thing you have! To take an hour out of your busy schedule and come help us celebrate this milestone in Tech Nav’s history is something we are incredibly grateful. The people who came to celebrate with us are (some of) the people who helped get us here! Business partners, clients, the local chamber of commerce(s), and departments such as the Tennessee Small Business Development Center. These people were here with us when we picked up our first computer and have walked alongside of us every step of the way.
One of our favorite mementos from the event is the signed ribbon from all of the guests! Ashlianne, our office manager, plans to frame it and hang it on our wall along with some of the photos from the event!
If you didn’t get a chance to attend this event, luckily… we are having another event next week with the Blount Partnership! Our doors will be open for an open house on Wednesday, February 13th at 3:00 PM to celebrate with our Blount County friends. Interested? Stop on by! We’ll have MORE delicious food, punch and more great networking! The celebration continues….
